Charitable Giving

At Coastwood Furniture we are committed to helping others and support a number of local and national charities each year. The worthy charities we select cover a wide range of causes.

The Kids Day Out Variety Show has given tens of thousands of families in local communities throughout New Zealand an opportunity to see some of our fantastic local and international entertainers do what they do best, providing a performance that makes a lasting memory for the children attending.

Parfitt Kids Charity help hundreds of hospitalised children and their families every year. We make up gift packs hoping that they will provide a positive distraction for children and reduce their anxieties, while being in hospital.

Our Vision: Empowering people living with autism

Autism New Zealand Inc. provides support, training, advocacy, resources and information on Autism Spectrum disorders including Aspergers Syndrome. Our members include children, young adults and adults on the autism spectrum; their family/whanau; caregivers; and professionals who work within this field.

The Going Bananas Show strives to bring back the magic of live theatre to regional towns and cities, and watch the magic in the eyes of the audience light up as they experience something that only a live stage show can bring. We work with hundreds of special needs organisations that in turn deal with a wide range of children, to select the families that will get the opportunity to attend the show. Generally children have learning, social, physical, medical or mental ailments. We also often invite the whole family to the show as it creates a fantastic fun atmosphere for all.

Westmount is a registered private school providing education recognised by the Government but free of detrimental influences that exist in society.

Our mission is to ensure that our students develop the understanding, skills, knowledge and attitudes which are not only compatible with their beliefs, but will also enable them to fulfill their potential and contribute to their community and the community at large.

The Hearing House is a charity for deaf children with cochlear implants and hearing aids. Our mission is to enable deaf or hearing-impaired children to listen and speak like their hearing peers. We aim to give deaf children with cochlear implants or hearing aids the ability to fulfil their potential and live an independent life in a hearing and speaking world. The Hearing House serves the needs of hundreds of hearing impaired children and their families from Kaitaia to Turangi.

The Goal is simple: To put Smiles on these children’s faces for at least one day this year!

At every event across New Zealand these children are treated to a day of celebrity stage shows, fun rides, interactive games, plenty of yummy food, face painting and many more fun activities. The highlight of the day is when the children enter Santa’s Toy Cave where they are given 2-3 high quality toys to call their own.
